Independent project management and UKAS-accredited verification for asbestos removal, from scoping to Certificate of Reoccupation.

HFS Environmental provides comprehensive, independent coordination of asbestos removal projects. We work alongside licensed removal contractors as a completely independent party, reviewing documentation, monitoring progress on-site, conducting UKAS-accredited air monitoring, and issuing Certificates of Reoccupation on successful completion. Because we are not a removal contractor, our clients benefit from genuinely impartial oversight. Our only responsibility is to them.
Every removal project is tracked through our secure online portal, giving clients real-time access to project progress, air test results, clearance certificates, photo evidence, and a full compliance audit trail. Available 24/7: secure, transparent, and fully traceable.
No. HFS Environmental is a deliberately independent consultancy. We coordinate and oversee removal projects, monitor works, and issue Certificates of Reoccupation, but we do not perform removal ourselves. This ensures our oversight is genuinely impartial.
Licensed removal is required for the highest-risk materials such as sprayed asbestos, pipe lagging, and asbestos insulating board, and can only be carried out by an HSE-licensed contractor. Non-licensed removal covers lower-risk materials such as asbestos cement and floor tiles. We coordinate both.
Independent oversight is strongly recommended for any licensed removal project and any non-licensed work where the client wants assurance of compliance. It is often required by insurers, principal contractors, or duty-holders as a condition of the project.
